Hillside Drilling Inc. has served Northern California for 50 years, providing high quality, cost-effective, innovative drilling solutions. We specialize in drilling, shoring, tiebacks, soil nails, retaining walls, micro-piles, caissons, and deep foundation drilling. Our dedicated team of engineers, project managers, and field staff strive to continuously deliver unmatched service while maintaining a safe working environment.
We have the equipment and personnel to serve an array of customer needs, including engineering and design-build services for shoring and foundation systems. Our field crew is equally qualified and trained to handle a large variety of specialty drilling, and safety is always our number one priority. Our ability to adapt to the constraints of each job site allows us to deliver cost-effective solutions where access is limited. We are signatory to the Operators, Laborers, and Carpenters unions.

A True Family Business
Jay Lamont and his daughter Lori worked together for 28 years, continuing to build a family business founded by Jay in 1969. When Jay decided to retire, he passed down more than just a hard hat to his daughter . He passed down oversight of the company and along with it responsibility owed to a tight-knit team of highly skilled professionals and the years of trust built with clients. Today, Lori is leading the charge of taking Hillside Drilling Inc. into it’s third generation within the Lamont family.
In five decades, the drilling industry has changed and Hillside Drilling Inc. has evolved as well. You can still find Jay visiting job sites and mentoring to the younger drillers in their craft. Lori, who has been with the company since 1985, now has her contractor’s license as an A General Engineering Contractor. She has made a substantial purchase of Hillside Drilling’s corporate shares making Hillside Drilling Inc. officially woman-owned as well as family-driven.
